24 years ago, actress Ursula Karven (60) lost her son Daniel. At the age of only four, he drowned in a children’s birthday in the pool on the property of Rockstar Tommy Lee (62). Now spoke openly about the death of her middle son and how she processed him.
“The only pain -free zone is now”
“You have experienced the power amplifier from what you can happen …”, moderator Marlene Lufen (54) wanted to appeal to the loss, but had to collect briefly. “Suddenly the news went through the world that your son was four years old …” she started again, but they overpowered the feelings. “Yes, don’t let us deepen it,” Karven took over and said that the death of her son took many. “‘Wow, that could be too’,” mothers would have noticed at the time.
Karven had to forbid himself after the stroke of fate. “All why questions in the past are pointless because you can’t breathe in the past,” she said. Karven kept having to pronounce a “no” if she employed a why question. “If you repeat that 100, 200, 300 times, this feeling is gone. Because it gets you now,” she said. “The only pain -free zone is now,” she realized. “If you fall into such a hole, only the very brutal, smallest levers work.” For them it was yoga, breathing exercises and meditation.
The actress said about her healing process: “I managed to be happy again, to live again, to be left out again. I got so many things that were stolen from my fate.” With her story, she wants to give hope to other people who have suffered a loss. Even if life never becomes the same as before, it can be learned to live with the pain. After the death of her son, Karven also shared her experiences in books.
