While Sean Combs is waiting for his sentence, according to a media report, he should take part in rehabilitation programs in prison.
Sean “Diddy” Combs (55) apparently wants to use the time behind the prison walls until the punishment is announced to work on his rehabilitation. Like sources, the former music mogul is said to have enrolled for several self -improvement programs in the detention center.
The rapper and producer is currently participating in the so-called stop program, an initiative of the prisons that focuses on the prevention of sexual assault as well as domestic and partnership violence. In addition, Combs is said to have started therapy and are in a program against addiction problems. He is said to have started drug therapy before his arrest last year.
The sources describe Combs’ participation in the programs as a serious effort for self -improvement. Skeptics may suspect other motifs. According to “TMZ”, it is not uncommon for convicted people to take part in various programs before the punishment in order to demonstrate their willingness to rehabilitation to the judge.
Process against the musician
Sean “Diddy” Combs will experience his sentence on October 3. A New York jury had guilty the 55-year-old in two out of five charges after an eight-week trial, including for coercion of women to prostitution. In the most serious charges – there was the accusation of sex trade and organized crime against him – he was acquitted. Combs had rejected all accusations in the process.
The music producer has been in a New York prison since his arrest in September last year. After the verdict, his lawyers made an application to temporarily clear it until the punishment was announced. However, this was rejected by the responsible judge. He apparently led Sean Combs’ “violent past” as the main reason to stay behind bars.
