Martin Scorsese could win an Emmy as an actor for the first time. The nomination apparently overwhelmed him.
Martin Scorsese (82) has been nominated for an actor for an Emmy Award for the first time – and can hardly believe it. The star director was given a nomination for his guest role in the comedy series “The Studio”. How surprised and touched Scorsese apparently reacted to the news, his daughter Francesca (25) showed a screenshot of a video call to the triple Emmy winner how he overwhelms his face overwhelmed with his hands. His daughter was obviously happy with him. “Our little actor,” she also congratulated him in another story.
In addition to Scorsese, Bryan Cranston (69), Dave Franco (40), Anthony Mackie (46) and Ron Howard (71) are also nominated in the category “Best guest actor in a comedy series” – all for appearances in “The Studio”. Jon Bernthal (48) is the exception: he received his nomination for a guest appearance in the series “The Bear”.
Kathy Bates thanks for nomination
Kathy Bates (77) was also happy about her special nomination. The Oscar-winning actress was nominated for the reboot “Matlock” as the best leading actress of a drama series. At the age of 77 she is the oldest price candidate. “I am deeply grateful to the Television Academy for this honor,” she quotes in a statement. She thanked the CBS managers and director David del Rio (37). “Thanks to the commitment, the talent and friendship of our incredible actors and crew, every day on the set is a gift,” she added.
Special thanks she expressed showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman (50). “This nomination really belongs to you … It was a great pleasure for all of us to put our passion into realizing your matlock,” she emphasized, among other things.
“Adolescence” star breaks in 1972
The “adolescence” star Owen Cooper (15) also wrote history with his nomination as the best supporting actor of a mini series. He broke the record of the recent price candidate in this category that Scott Jacoby (68) had kept for over 50 years. He was 16 years old at the time of nomination. Now the young star Cooper can look forward to. If he wins the Emmy Award, he becomes the latest male winner of an acting emotion. “It’s crazy,” he said to the nomination.
“It is the best year of my life,” he explained. “Now that it is a little behind me, I return to normality. The school is going well,” he reveals. He was glad that despite his fame, his friends had “in no way changed”.
