Mia Julia, isi Glück and Frenzy are three absolute top stars on Ballermann. It is relatively new that so many women are so successful there. How equal do you feel on the Playa?
The Ballermann in Mallorca lived up to his name for a long time – as a male domain. Today, not only more female Malle fans are roaming the German party mile in El Arenal, more and more women also tone on stage.
Mia Julia: From bed to the stage
The former porn actress Mia Julia Brückner (38) quickly draws attention to herself in the Bierkönig in 2013 – also because she browses in her appearances in the first few years. Today the 1.57 meter tall whirlwind from Upper Bavaria is one of the biggest stars on Ballermann and is called “Germany’s party queen”. Her songs are about long party nights (“We escalate”) and their Mallorca love (“Bring me home”).
“When I started, it was really a very blatant male domain. But now we have many female, strong acts at the start. It is definitely more balanced,” said the 38-year-old of the German press agency recently on the sidelines of the “Rainbow Festival” in Cologne.
The singer, whose change from beer king to competitor Megapark caused plenty of vertebrae this year, stands for a cosmopolitan party cult at Playa. She talks about depression, earlier rape and bisexuality. In the meantime, she also publishes porn clips on an online platform.
With this self -confident and self -determined manner, the entertainer broke the men’s stronghold Ballermann – and paved the way for even more female power.
Frenzy: First bullied, celebrated now
“Mia Julia was actually the first to really hand my hand here,” says singer Frenzy (32). The trained dancer and former movement teacher starts her 2018 Ballermann career. But the beginning is bumpy. “I had the feeling that when I arrived here, all of her elbows drove out and nobody really helped me.”
At first she was also suggested to keep her partner secret. “Then I got comments like:” Maybe you’d better come to the performances without your husband because you can then better flirt with the DJs so that they play your songs more often “.
But the married musician from the Heinsberg district near Cologne (“Will it get bright again or do I only have the lamps?”) Bites through, with Mia Julia in 2019 the duet “We are” and gains foot in the beer king. Today the atmosphere there is a completely different one – relaxed and familiar.
The 32-year-old does not accept the criticism that some songs on the Ballermann are sexist and women are only reduced to their appearance. “I think there has been no title really big, in which some kind of person should now be seriously offended. And none who is in the beer king and is roaring according to” Layla “, does not want to hurt anyone with it.” In her current song “3 Series” she plays with the topic: “Do you feel like a threesome? Only you, me and the playa.”
Frenzy, who is called Franziska Strnad, is considered the most popular female act in the beer king after Mia Julia’s departure. There is a state of emergency during their appearances. Your male fans would always behave. “I have never seen the boys be stupid to me or touch me in the wrong place. On the contrary, they are very respectful and always very careful.”
Isi Glück: From Ballermann to Bohlen
She also developed the respect of the Mallorca men: Elmshorner Isabel Gülck became Miss Germany in 2012 and takes part in several casting shows. In 2017 she tries her luck at Ballermann – under the name Isi Glück.
“Back then it was still something extraordinary and special when a woman decided to make Ballermann music. That was very male-dominated,” she looks back at her beginnings in the megapark. “But that was not bad at that moment because it made more attention when you put yourself on stage as a woman.”
In the past two years, the 34-year-old ends up with “Delfin” and “Supreme” the biggest hits of the season, in the spring she made the leap to the charts with her debut album. No wonder that RTL has signed it for the upcoming season “Germany sucht den Superstar”. There she sits on the jury next to the alpha animals Dieter Bohlen and Bushido.
At Ballermann, the party singer – also as far as the fees are concerned – feels equal. Also, she also does not believe that only female stars are successful on the Playa that visually correspond to the ideal image of the male audience.
“If there is a smart guy on stage that the ladies fly on, he can of course use it for himself,” says Glück – who can be seen on the current Playboy cover. “It is not an exclusion criterion if you are not a model as a woman now. You just have to be cool, that’s the most important thing here.”
Will Mia Julia the female Heino?
Singer like Tim Toupet (53), Mickie Krause (55), Olaf der Flipper (74) or Heino (86) are celebrated on the Ballermann stages even at the more precisely age. The female stars, including names such as Nancy Franck, Caro Winter or Malin Brown, are currently all under 40.
“I think that you could still appear as a woman in old age. There is no example of it, but we will see it with me,” says Mia Julia confidently. “Because I definitely go through for a few more years.”
