A tragedy shakes the US entertainment industry: Robin Kaye, who worked as a music producer for the casting show “American Idol” for over two decades, and her husband Thomas Deluca are dead. The couple was found on Monday, July 14th, with several gunshot wounds in her 4.5 million dollar in Encino, Los Angeles.

22-year-old suspect arrested
Raymond B., a 22-year-old resident from Encino, was arrested in connection with the murders. According to the police, the killings seem to be random – there is currently no known connection between the victims and the suspect.
The investigation showed a shattering scenario: the couple apparently returned home, while the suspect had already illegally gained access to their property. As the authorities further explained, the perpetrator fled from the crime scene on foot.
Just four days earlier, attempted burglary
Particularly worrying: Four days before the double murder, on July 10, the police had reacted to a possible break -in at the same address. Although no visible traces of burglary were found at the time, the investigators now believe that the suspect came into the house through an unlocked door.
. “My tenant saw someone climbing the fence on Thursday and called the emergency call,” said a witness. “But we haven’t heard since then, so we have no idea whether it is related to it.”
Over two decades at “American Idol”
Robin Kaye worked as a producer in the music department of “American Idol” between 2002 and 2023. Her career also included projects such as “Lip Sync Battle”, “After the Sunset”, “The Singing Bee” and “Q’viva !: The Chosen”. In addition, she was involved in several Missa and Miss Universe beauty competition.
