John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Besset were considered the dream couple of the 90s. Pictures of a love that started passionately and ended tragically.
Before John F. Kennedy Jr., 35, on September 21, 1996 of his then girlfriend, the 30-year-old Carolyn Besset, the yes word, the son of the murdered US President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline “Jackie” Kennedy Onassis is one of the most coveted bachelors of his time. He comes from one of the most famous families in the world, is charming, wealthy – and also looks good. The “People” magazine lifts him to the cover in 1988 at the age of 27 and checks him for “Sexiest Man Alive”. His former friends and affairs include famous women such as Madonna, Sarah Jessica Parker and Daryl Hannah.
The Carolyn Besset family originally comes from Canada and is a French-Canadian origin. She has two older sisters, the twins Lauren and Lisa. Her parents divorce when she is about eight years old. After that, she grows up mostly with her mother and the stepfather in Greenwich, Connecticut. After a short attempt as a model, Bessetet begins her career in the fashion sector and works up at Calvin Klein in New York from sale to the PR leader of the flagship store. There she looks after prominent customers – and gets to know John F. Kennedy Jr. in 1992.

From 1994 the couple officially conduct a relationship. The wedding takes place two years later in the closest family on the island of Cumberland off the coast of the state of Georgia. The bride had given up her work in the press department shortly before. A year earlier, Kennedy founded his political magazine “George” and has been the editor since then.
The paparazzi follow every step of the glamor couple. Much to Carolyn Bessetette-Kennedy, which hardly withstands the media pressure. The boulevard press reports on jealousy and argument between the famous spouses.
According to a revelation book by Edward Klein, the former editor -in -chief of the “New York Times Magazine”, the two are said to have stuck in a deep crisis before their death. In the past few months they are said to have visited marriage advice. Besetette-Kennedy is said to have even consulted a divorce lawyer in order to clarify her claims in the event of a separation.
But it does not happen: on July 16, 1999, the couple died on the way to Martha’s Vineyard during a plane crash. Carolyn’s sister Lauren is also on board – and is also killed.
