A duck mother caused royal chaos on Easter: Harry asked Oprah for help and everyone hunted through the garden.
Sometimes it is the little things in life that cause the biggest surprises. Oprah Winfrey (71) also had to experience that when her famous neighbors Prince Harry (40) and Duchess Meghan (43) were at the door with an extraordinary problem. The moderator now revealed into a hilarious story that took place on Easter in her garden in Montecito.
Chaos on Easter Saturday
“I get a call from Harry, Prince Harry, on Easter Saturday, and he says: ‘Excuse me that I am bothering you, o, but we have a duck problem here,” said Winfrey. A duck had laid its eggs in the garden of the Sussexes and now got chicks. However, since there is no pond there, Harry asked: “Can we bring the ducks to your pond? ‘”
Winfrey agreed and suggested waiting for her friend Gayle King’s grandchildren to visit, who were visiting during the holidays. But Harry pushed: “‘No, we come immediately, we’ll come across right away!'”
What followed was a turbulent moment – because the duck mother escaped while the duck babies were in a box. The situation quickly turned into a chaotic persecution, said Oprah: “We hunt the mum duck, who is in the front yard and flew to the other. We have her ducks. Harry runs afterwards, Meghan rises, she runs after and tries to bring mom back to the chick.”
The spontaneous use took time: “We run around with the ducks in a box for about half an hour. We have a video. It is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen,” Winfrey laughed.
The story gives Winfrey’s story a completely new dimension. Meghan had already shared one on Easter – however, it only showed the peaceful duck nut. There was nothing to be seen from the chaos behind it.
Royal neighborhood with spring animals
Kelly Ripa commented on the story with a wink: “The ducks also cracked the jackpot. They thought: ‘Wait a minute, we will appear at Prince Harry’s house and now we are at Oprah!’ Sorry.
In 2021, the two demonstrated in their interview with Winfrey that feather animals play a special role in their lives. At that time they proudly showed their tailor -made chicken coop with the sign “Archie’s Chick Inn” – named after their six -year -old son Prince Archie.
