Ebay: Curiously shaped chicken nugget auctioned for $ 100,000

Curious auctions come up every now and then on Ebay. Now a chiggen nugget, which visually resembles a pawn, has been auctioned for a huge sum. However, it is unlikely that the seller is now rich.

“Among us!” was one of the big game hits of the past year. The game is already years old, but the game principle hit a nerve in the pandemic year marked by social distancing. In the online game “Among us!” the players slip into the roles of cute little astronauts who work together on a spaceship. Most of the crew is entrusted with various work tasks that need to be done.

However, the idyll is clouded by the fact that one or more traitors are on board. Behind the facade of the busy worker, they sabotage what is happening on board and assassinate the rest of the crew as fraudulent murderers. This must try to expose the assassins in good time before the last one from the crew is eradicated. To do this, they investigate in a team and try to uncover the fraudster and throw him out of the spaceship.

Ebay auction: It is questionable whether the money will flow

An Ebay auction from the USA shows the hype surrounding the game. A Chiggen Nugget, which supposedly looks like one of the “Among us!” Characters, went over the virtual counter there on Friday for almost 100,000 US dollars (around 82,600 euros). The seller is based in Utah. The nugget comes from a menu, according to the description. It will also be sent before the shelf life expires.

However, it is not necessarily to be expected that the sale of the culinary collector’s item will result in a surge in wealth. On Ebay, curious and bizarre items appear again and again, which are then auctioned for immense sums. As a rule, however, the bidders in these auctions are on the move with no real intention to buy and only bid for fun in order to drive up the price.
