The “The Last of Us” series could end with a third season in 2027

The head of HBOCasey Bloys, has said that the third season of The Last of Us It could be the end of the successful zombies drama.

The first season of The Last of Us of HBO adapted the plot of the successful video game, while the second season began to tell the story of The Last of Us Part 2.

Earl this year, Francesca Orci HBO revealed that there had been “conversations” about the adaptation that would last four seasons and the showrunner Craig Mazin said the program It could last between three and five seasons “but four looks like a good number”.

After the end of the second season, Mazin continued to say that “there was no way to complete this narrative” with just one more season. “Hopefully, we will win enough to return and finish it in a fourth. That is the most likely result.”

Halley Gross, also employee of Naughty Dog (who worked as a screenwriter and producer in the television series), also confirmed her departure from the project. This means that Mazin will have total creative control over the future of The Last of Us.

“It was fantastic having Neil involved,” said Bloys. “Many people do not know that Neil works full -time creating video games and directing Naughty Dog. It is a very important job. So I understand why they need to focus on that. But I think he has given us a good plan with the series. And, obviously, Craig is a professional, so I think we will be in excellent way.
