“Star Wars”: Darth Vader’s lightsaber is auctioned
It is one of the most famous props in film history – soon the lightsaber from the film “The Empire beats back” of the “Star Wars” series can be bought. It’s not a bargain.
The legendary lightsaber of “Star Wars” evil Darth Vader will be auctioned in Los Angeles in September. For the cult prop, which was used in the films “The Empire Backs” and “The Return of the Jedi Knights”, bids from $ 1,000,000 (approximately 863,000 euros) could be submitted on its website. The light sword that was seen in the duels between Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker was part of a private collection for decades.
The first film of the “Star Wars” saga, “War of the stars”, appeared in 1977 with Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill. In the 1980s, the films followed “The Empire beats back” and “the return of the Jedi knights”. Further sequels followed later. The Saga created by screenwriter, producer and director George Lucas is one of the most successful film series in film history.
