Ochsenknecht was arrested on June 25, 2025 when he returned from Dubai at Hamburg Airport. The Austrian authorities were looking for him via a European arrest warrant. The accusation: At the end of 2021, he is said to have used up to around 14,000 euros in a hotel in Kirchberg, but did not pay. Although a court sentenced him to payment, he only settled the amount afterwards – which, according to the public prosecutor, does not invalidate the suspicion, but could have a mitigating effect.

The Hanseatic Higher Regional Court and the Attorney General agreed to deliver to Austria after the arrest in Hamburg. After several relocations, Ochsenknecht was handed over to the Bavarian-Austrian border on July 16 and then brought to the Innsbruck prison. A day later, he was released.
