Wolfgang Grupp (83), the former head of the long -established German clothing manufacturer Trigema, has announced that he is suffering from age depression. After concern for the entrepreneur, it also becomes public that he has committed a suicide attempt.



Grupp would “like to undo” everything

After several days in a hospital, Grupp contacted his former workforce with a letter. The daily newspaper has the letter. It is published with the express consent of the former entrepreneur, because according to the report, Grupp wants to raise awareness that not looking away for diseases such as age depression.

“I am 84 years old and suffer from so -called age depression,” reports Group in the letter. You worry about “whether you are still needed”. That’s why he tried to commit suicide. “I very much regret what happened and would like to undo it,” wrote group.

In 2023, he announced that he will hand over trigema to his children Bonita and Wolfgang Junior and his wife Elisabeth at the turn of the year.
