Justice: Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht on a clear foot

The actor Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht is again at large after his delivery to Austria. According to the Innsbruck public prosecutor, he was released against payment of a deposit of 15,000 euros. “Mr. Ochsenknecht praised to stay in Austria until the end of the procedure and has deposited his passport in the court,” said the judicial authority.

The 33-year-old was delivered to Austria because he is not said to have paid a hotel bill of almost 14,000 euros. A procedure for serious fraud is running against him.

The criminal complaint was brought in, said a spokeswoman for the Innsbruck Regional Court. Now a judge has to determine a main hearing date. Usually it takes two or three months to the process, the spokeswoman said. Apart from the stay in Austria, there are no further requirements for Ochsenknecht until then, such as reporting to the police.

The son of the actor Uwe Ochsenknecht and his former wife Natscha had celebrated a birthday for several days in a hotel in Tyrol at the end of 2021 and is not said to have paid the high invoice despite multiple warning, installment payment offers and court hearings.

After his release, the actor had very simple wishes. “Off home. First call Snow and shave,” wrote the 33-year-old on Instagram. Snow is his three -year -old daughter.

Not expressed for suspicion

When interrogating the responsible judge, Ochsenknecht said “to take responsibility for the matter and not to counter the accusation of the public prosecutor,” said the public prosecutor. Incidentally, he made use of his rights not to comment on the suspicion.

Ochsenknecht was temporarily arrested at the end of June after landing at Hamburg Airport and was taken into custody. There was an international arrest warrant against him.

“I should have known how serious the situation is and I would never have let it go. That was wrong,” he wrote on Instagram.

In the past few days, he had finally been handed over to the Austrian authorities in a prisoner transport over several intermediate stations.

The debts have been repaid

According to Ochsenknecht Management, the invoice has now been paid. The hotel manager also confirmed the entrance to the money. “Today I received a bank statement that the money in my legal profession has been received and so the topic is done for me,” said hotel manager Wilhelm Steindl of the German Press Agency recently.

Because the financial loss was more than 5,000 euros, this suspicion was to be qualified as a more difficult fraud, the public prosecutor said. The threat of punishment for this offense is a fine or up to 3 years in prison. “The fact that the accused has now paid the amount in principle does not change the suspicion of the crime,” but can be taken into account in the event of a conviction as mitigating.

How long has Ochsenknecht been looking for?

Ochsenknecht had known about the investigation since the beginning of December 2024, according to the public prosecutor. However, he was not to be found at the specified residential address in Italy. He had no residence in Germany, it said. “Because of this behavior because the accused had knowledge of the procedure, but was not tangible, there was suspicion that he be withdrawn from the procedure,” said the judicial authority. Therefore, the Innsbruck public prosecutor accepted the risk of escape and issued a European arrest warrant against it.
