John Legend’s son Miles lives with Diabetes Type-1. The singer learned at a camp and was happy about the father-son period.
John Legend (46) accompanied his son Miles (7) to a diabetes family camp. In the child of Chrissy Teigen (39) and the singer, type 1 diabetes was diagnosed last year. Now the musician raved about the short trip: “I loved spending time with him alone in the Yosemite National Park.” For his son it was a great experience to get together with diabetes with the same age and supervisors. “I learned a lot and I am very grateful to everyone involved,” he added.
In addition, the musician shared a number of snapshots. The father-son team is laughing in front of the natural backdrop of the national park, seeing the accommodation and in the plane. Another photo shows his son on a large rock.
Diagnosis welded the parents together
The son of Chrissy Teigen and John Legend received the diagnosis of diabetes at the age of six. The actress clarified last August after her son’s blood sugar meter could be seen in a photo. The disease was discovered by chance: her son was in the hospital because of an infection, she wrote. There the doctors had found an abnormality in his blood values – and made the diagnosis.
“We were thrown into this chaotic world and suddenly had to learn so much,” said Teigen, particularly challenging, the first insulin syringes were particularly challenging. “The first three months were really, very difficult for us as a family because our child was in pain,” she said. Still, they always had each other. “That shows that we are a team,” and explained: “That just makes us stronger.”
In addition to her eldest son, legend and three other children. Daughter Luna (9) was born in 2016, two years before her brother. Her daughter Esti (2) was born in January 2023. Son Wren (2) was born in June 2023 by surrogate.
