Four weeks after her breast cancer surgery, Jessie J gives an honest ability to get an honors – and speaks openly about the emotional burden.
Jessie J (37) openly spoke about the challenges after her breast cancer surgery in a moving Instagram post. Four weeks after the procedure in which a breast was removed, the British musician is confident – even if the physical and emotional stress is great.
Jessie J feels “good” after breast cancer surgery
“On Saturday it is four weeks since my breast cancer surgery. I feel good. Some days are harder than others,” writes Jessie J, who show her and her two-year-old son Sky in the studio. Their mobility has returned, but the pain is still noticeable. “I will get a little more myself every day. Mentally now gets me in.
She particularly hurts the physical distance from her son Sky, whom she has with her partner, the Danish basketball player Chanan Safir Colman. “Sky is with his dad with his Danish family for two weeks – so that I can also rest and do physiotherapy,” said Jessie. In addition to recovery, she also uses the time to reorganize her home with the support of mother and sister. “My ADHD and my obsessive -compulsive disorders are still fully active,” she jokes.
Jessie J is not allowed to lift her son
But she is difficult for her to avoid physical closeness to her child: “I am not allowed to lift Sky for a few months, and that was a difficult change. I just want to hold it on to him and turn with him.” At the same time, the singer is grateful: “In a greater context, it is a small victim to have my health and still be here.”
Despite all the challenges, Jessie J looks hopefully into the future: “The day will come when I can lift it up again to press it. I can hardly wait. This day is that brings me through these days. These days are strange.” At the end of her post, she turns directly to her son: “I love being your mom, Sky. I miss my boys.”
Jessie J had made public in June that breast cancer was diagnosed with her. Shortly afterwards she informed her fans that the tumor could be removed in a mastectomy and that the cancer had not spread further.
