The US actress Eileen Fulton (1933-2025) is dead. The legendary Soap actress died on July 14th at the age of 91 in her hometown Asheville, North Carolina. That emerges from one. According to the obituary, a longer health breakdown was the cause.
Fulton became known primarily through her role as Lisa Grimaldi in the US Daily Soap “As the World Turns” (German title: “Young and passionate-as life plays”), in which she played from 1960 until the series was dismantled in 2010. At the age of 50, she is one of the longest -working actresses in a television role worldwide. With a total of 13,858 episodes in 54 years, “As the World Turns” will be the second longest -emitted soap opera in the world.
In the 1990s and 2000s, the soap opera also found a small fan base in Europe, including from 1992 it was broadcast on the RTLplus station. Eileen Fulton’s figure Lisa Grimaldi is considered one of the first “soap divas” and significantly shaped the format soap opera.

Eileen Fulton was born in 1933 as Margaret Elizabeth McLarty in Asheville. She started her stage career as a child. For the first time in front of the camera, she stood for “Girl of the Night” in 1960, in the same year she took on the most important role of her life.
In 2004 Fulton was awarded the Daytime Emmy Award for her life’s work. After the end of “As The World Turns” in September 2010, Fulton returned to the stage and was seen in “My Fair Lady” at the Connecticut Repertory Theater.
In addition to acting, she worked as an author and wrote a number of crime novels.
Actress was married three times
Eileen Fulton was married three times: from 1957 with Bill Cochrane, from 1970 to 1980 with music producer Danny Fortunato, and in 1989 for three months with the landscape rack Rick McMorrow. The acting -playing leaves her brother, a niece and her children.
