A few weeks ago, Billy Joel made it public that he was suffering from old age. That’s how he feels.
In the past few months, fans have worried about Billy Joel (76) after the “Piano Man” had to cancel his planned concerts due to health problems. He announced that a normal pressure hydrocephalus, or retirement brain pressure, was found. Now the singer talks about how he is currently doing.

Right at the beginning of a comedian and moderator Bill Maher (69) asks his guest: “Did we fix the problem?” Unfortunately, Joel can only explain: “Not fixed. It is still being worked on.”
Joel does not reveal exact details, but he gives the all -clear. When asked that he looks good and listened to as always, the singer explains: “I feel good. My balance is shitty. It is how to be on a boat.”
Nobody knows where the disease comes from. He thought that alcohol could be to blame. Today he no longer drinks a lot, but according to his own information. “I feel good,” repeats Joel. “They call what I have, a brain disorder. So that sounds much worse than what I feel,” he emphasizes.
At the end of May, the 76-year-old team had announced: “Billy Joel announced that he will cancel all planned concerts after he recently diagnosed a normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH).” Due to his recent appearances, his condition worsened, Joel suffered from hearing, visual and equilibrium problems. At the instruction of his doctor, the 76-year-old does special physiotherapy. He was advised not to appear during his recovery.
“The current tour is postponed by four months so that it can recover from a recent surgery and undertake physiotherapy under the supervision of its doctors,” it said. At that time it was not yet communicated which “medical problem” was about.
