Audiovisual arts as a state policy
During the announcement of the awards ceremony, Martín Llaryora, eThe governor of the host province, noted that the film industry is a job generator and “govern is generating work.” Hence Córdoba’s decision to bet on cinema through concrete public policies such as Cash Rebate, a key tool of the Córdoba Audiovisual District Plan.
“We are interested that Córdoba is on the screen, that our places film, that spread our territory so that people want to visit it, but also for our artists, technicians, producers and everyone to have the possibility of working,” The governor pointed out.
In that sense, Hernán FindlinPresident of the Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences of Argentina, stressed that “in these complex times where culture is being so vaulted, the support that the province of Córdoba is giving us is doubly valuable, showing what should be done with culture in every way.”
“It was very valuable to discover that in Córdoba there are many people doing valuable things, and a government that supports them. I try to be as objective as possible: it is a reality that we could feel,” he acknowledged.
And he celebrated that in our province “there is a policy that understands cinema and audiovisual arts not only as a culture, but also as generators of work, investments and development.”
