In the first semi-finals of women’s football European Football, Lionesses, England’s national women’s national team, prevailed. The British Royals sent their congratulations.
At the women’s football European Championships, the English women secured a place in the final. Last Tuesday they won the Stade de Genève in Geneva against Italy. The defending champions only turned the game in extra time and triumphed 2-1. The British Royals were happy after the exciting semi -finals with the players.
King Charles is looking forward to an exciting final of the European Football Championship
King Charles III, 76, said in a statement that was published on the “Royal Family” account: “My wife and I warmly congratulate the proud Lionesses together with our whole family to achieve the UEFA euro final.” The monarch also praised: “Your way to this final was remarkable and showed the ability, the determination (and the nerve strength!) For which the team is rightly celebrated.”

Charles’ son Prince William, 43, raved about the team’s “brilliant performance” in an X contribution. “A game from fame,” he also agreed with the final. William has been President of Football Association (FA) since 2006 and was appointed her patron in July 2024. Before the European Championship, he had a visit to the team of trainer Sarina Wiegman (55) in preparation in the St. George’s Park football center in Burton-Upon-Trent.
The English women’s football team could meet the DFB women in the final on Sunday, July 27th in Basel. Germany will play against the Spaniards in the semi -finals this Wednesday (from 8:15 p.m. in the first).
