Again and again they celebrated their love publicly, now everything is over. There have been rumors for a long time that Ana Ivanović and Bastian Schweinsteiger’s marriage had broken after nine years. Now the love off is official.
The reason for the separation are “insurmountable differences,” said Ivanović’s lawyer Christian Schertz to the German Press Agency on request. No further explanations would be made.
The lawyer also asked to respect his client’s privacy – also and especially with a view to her three children.
The football star and the Serbian tennis player have been married since summer 2016. After the wedding in Venice, the two soon went to the USA, where the former national soccer player played for Chicago Fire until 2019.
Schweinsteiger and Ivanovic have three children together
In March 2018, Schweinsteiger and Ivanović got their first child, son Luka. The sons Leon (August 2019) and Theo (May 2023) followed. The children kept them out of the public, but on Instagram and Facebook the couple have kept their fans part in the married life since then. Schweinsteiger and Ivanović traveled a lot and regularly released love for love – at least until some time ago.
