From July 24th, influencer Vanessa Borck alias “NessionTour” is looking for her dream woman as a new “Princess Charming” – after seven years of relationship.
Vanessa Borck (28), better known as “Nession Tour”, became known for the common Instagram channel “Coupleontour” with her former partner Katharina “Borck (29). Now she starts a new adventure: As a “Princess Charming”, she goes in search of the right in the format of the same name. In an interview with the news agency Spot on News, the content creator speaks openly about the dating in front of the camera.
You are the new “Princess Charming”. How does that feel?
Vanessa Borck: It is totally exciting because the “Princess” is such a special role. And that I can take this role is just beautiful. Especially as a newcomer to dating, I was in a relationship for seven years.
What did your environment say about your participation?
Borck: I didn’t tell many about it in advance. First, because I was not allowed to do it and secondly because I didn’t want to be influenced. I told my mom and she was very happy. She was really proud. Many of my friends only found out when I was introduced as a “princess”. I got a lot of news how crazy it is and that they are happy for me. The feedback was 95 percent positive. The other 5 percent asked me if it really has to be that I go to a reality TV format. But “Princess Charming” is not a trash TV for me. I do not take part for money and reach, I want to find love.
They were in a relationship for a long time and even married. How was it for you to data again, and then in front of the camera?
Borck: I found data even more blatant than the cameras because I have never dated as a queer woman. I did not get to know my ex-wife Ina through the data, but out of a friendship. So that was really difficult for me: how do I turn on a woman? How do I flirt? And the worst thing was: How do I remember 18 names at once? (laughs) At some point I hid the cameras. The candidates also helped me a lot.
As a content creator, you have been in public for years. Did you expect the participants to know you?
Borck: I was hoping that not everyone would know me. But it was definitely not just one that knew me and that was okay for me. I was already prepared that it could happen.
Were you worried that some candidates only want you to data because of their range?
Borck: I think many take part in “Princess Charming” to find love. But why are you looking for them on TV? Probably also to get a little reach. Especially if you don’t have one yet, it may be a bigger impulse. I also understand that, I don’t take that bad. Nevertheless, the fear was great for me: does the person like me or does it like my reach?
In the past seasons it happened that women had developed interest among themselves for each other. Was you afraid that this could happen to you too?
Borck: I said from the start that I don’t like it when they get around. But actually it is mean that I am in a special position and you are not allowed to do anything. I am a person who wants justice, but if feelings are already involved, that’s not nice.
You are mom. How does the view of the dating change?
Borck: If you are mom, you not only pay attention to yourself, but also for your own daughter. I need a partner who likes children and accepts my daughter. But I’m not looking for a second mom, but a role model for my daughter. It was very important to me to communicate this: I am a mother and I only have a double pack. I didn’t communicate directly that I don’t want another child. That sounds very daunting. And you never know: maybe I’ll change my opinion again. But if a woman who already has a child, I would even find it very nice.
The separation from your wife Ina is still very present. How are you doing?
Borck: I don’t think it’s bad, it’s part of my story. I loved this woman very much and without her I wouldn’t be here either. I am grateful for what we had, and I also find it okay that you tell our story. You can encourage many people, even if we didn’t have a happy ending as we hoped.
Do you think Ina will watch “Princess Charming”?
Borck: She said to me that she might take a look and that she finds it cool. But she also told me that she doesn’t know if you can find love on TV. But if I feel like it, I should do it.
You have already had a relationship in public. Do you want to keep your next relationship private?
Borck: So private is no longer possible, I have already made a public. (laughs) But I definitely don’t want to do a “coupleont tour” 2.0. If you want, we are welcome to make videos together. That would be cool and the rest then simply results. My partner is also part of my life and since I share my life on social networks, I would find it difficult to keep them out completely. In my opinion, interest is even greater if you hide someone. I don’t feel like it.
You have been dealing with your sexuality open for years. Are you still confronted with HATE? How do you deal with it?
Borck: I think everyone wants to have hatred in the world – especially in terms of their own sexuality for which you cannot do anything. Sometimes I also delete comments when they go under the belt line. But there are also a lot of great organizations that work against hate on the Internet and where you can seek help. I think it’s super important to address it. I just want a more open world to queer people. We don’t do anything to anyone, we just love.
Can you imagine more TV formats?
Borck: Yes, but I would not go into any formats that are too sexual. It’s just not my thing. I would like to take part in “Let’s Dance”. I love dancing and would like to learn it. And when a moderator is looking for “Princess Charming”, I’m also at the start. But it always has to be compatible with my child: it must be a format in which I can see my daughter and there are not so many of them.
