Death of Matthew Perry: his doctor declared himself guilty of distributing ketamine

The doctor of Matthew Perry, Salvador Plasenciahe declared himself guilty on Wednesday of Four Ketamine distribution positions and will face the sentence on December 3.

As part of the agreement, Plasencia, 43, will deliver its medical license in the next 30 to 45 days, according to the United States Federal Prosecutor’s Office. He will remain on bail waiting for his sentence.

Matthew Perry’s doctor’s agreement

Plasencia accepted a guilt agreement in June in which he admitted to having distributed ketamine without a legitimate medical purpose to the star of Friendswho died of an overdose in October 2023. In return, prosecutors withdrew the falsification positions of medical records and additional distribution charges.

The only remaining defendant in the case, Jasveen Sangha, nicknamed the “Queen of Ketamine”will appear at trial next month. He is accused of maintaining a hiding place in North Hollywood for the illicit distribution of drugs.

Plasencia also planned to judge at the same time, before their lawyers arrived at the guilt agreement.

Plasencia faces a theoretical maximum of 40 years after bars, but it is likely to receive much less than that according to federal judgment.

According to Associated Press, prosecutors detailed the circumstances underlying the charges before the guilt declaration and recognized that Plasencia did not sell Perry the fatal dose.

Three other defendants, Erik Fleming, Kenneth Iwamasa and Mark Chavezthey previously agreed to declare themselves guilty of a single conspiracy charge to distribute ketamine.

The authorities previously claimed that Plasencia devised a “treatment plan” “for Perry after his death, in a vain attempt to hide his trace. It was also cited in a plasence in a text message to another doctor, where he boasted his agreement with Perry, saying: “I wonder how much this fool will pay … let’s find out”.
