The team from England gets royal support in the final of the women’s European Championship. Prince William fulfills the team in Switzerland.
Prince William (43) will travel to Switzerland on Sunday to cheer on the Lionesses in the final of the EM Women’s European Championship. This was confirmed by the Kensington Palace of the heir to the throne, the patron of the English Football Association, will therefore sit in the stands in Basel and see how the teams from England and Spain fight for the title. England moved into the final on Tuesday with a semi -final victory against Italy. Spain defeated the DFB women on Wednesday.
The Royals are already in the summer vacation
Prince William will probably interrupt his summer vacation for the trip to Switzerland. The son of King Charles (76) and his wife Princess Kate (43) have hardly been seen publicly in the past few days. The reason: The school holidays of her children Prince George (12), Princess Charlotte (10) and Prince Louis (7) have already started. The free weeks want to use the royals for family time.
Prince William and his family still pursue the football tournament in Switzerland: The 43-year-old raved about the “brilliant performance” of the English team after the final. “A game from fame,” he agreed to the final. Prince William, who is considered a big football fan, has been President of Football Association (FA) since 2006 and was appointed her patron in July 2024. Before the European Championship, he had a visit to the team of trainer Sarina Wiegman (55) in preparation in the St. George’s Park football center in Burton-Upon-Trent.
