Oliver Pocher kept praise to his colleague in the presence of Thomas Gottschalk. Not all fans are happy about it.
Oliver Pocher (47) shared impressions of a special visit on Instagram. The comedian and his ex-wife Alessandra Meyer-Wölden (42), who together make the “Die Pochers! Freshly recycled”, were recently welcoming a prominent guest: when the two appeared, Thomas Gottschalk (75) sat in the audience. The former “Wetten, dass ..?” Moderator had shared a picture in his Instagram stories on which he shines together with the podcast duo.
Now Oliver Pocher shows a conversation with Gottschalk. a clip. In it he sits in the audience with his older colleague. He writes about the video: “A few clear words about the supposed criticism about Thomas Gottschalk! It just had to be clearly pronounced in our podcast.”
In the article, Gottschalk explains to the audience about Pocher: “He says a lot loudly what I just think.” Meanwhile, Pocher talks in rage. First, the entertainer says that one or the other criticism of Gottschalk did not deserve it. And continues: “No matter what everyone says or think, you have been on TV for 50 years.”
He lists Gottschalk’s career stations, from the beginning of which on the radio over the “supernasy” films, up to “bets, dass ..?”. In the show, Gottschalk “had everyone on stage, Madonna, Prince, Michael Jackson,” said Pocher: “We looked at you, that was the highlight when ‘bets ..?’ has run. ” Afterwards Pocher says: “And if some of such a packed blogger comes around the corner, he says that 20 years ago you put the Spice Girls on the knee … They should all keep the face because you are just a fucking legend.”

Pocher receives some support in the comments on his post. Among other things, it says: “Thomas Gottschalk made millions of people happy on Saturday evening and only that counts”. Or: “Thomas Gottschalk is and remains a legend of German television history! Absolutely summed up! Respect Olli”.
However, other users see it differently: “I think both are. Thomas Gottschalk for his life’s work and his role in German television and at the same time express that some behavior can be seen rather critically today.” Elsewhere, it says: “Criticism is appropriate, point. I think you really don’t want to understand it either.” Another user writes: “Just because someone is 50 years in the show business does not have to do and leave what he wants.”
Gottschalk withdraws
Thomas Gottschalk, who moderated his last “Wetten, dass ..?” Is moderated in November 2023, had announced his farewell to the big stage a few weeks ago. The entertainer, who turned 75 on May 18, had his TV party officially done on the RTL show “Because you don’t know what happens”.
