“The Jockey”, Luis Ortega’s film, was the great winner of the “Oscar Argentinos”, who for the first time left Buenos Aires. Guillermo Francella received the trajectory award.
Córdoba was the headquarters chosen for this historical edition of the South Awardswhich consecrated Jockeyof Luis Ortegalike the great winner of the night, with eleven statuettes. The ceremony, organized by the Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences of Argentinatook place in the emblematic theater of the liberator San Martín, full of national cinema figures and local talents.
Ortega’s film stayed with the awards for Best Distributed Actor, Original Screenplay, Art, Sound, Original Music, Makeup, Costume Design, Photography Address, Protagonist Actor, Address and Film, the most important recognition of the evening.
One of the most emotional moments was the tribute to Guillermo Francellawho received the governor’s trajectory award Martín Llaryora. Visibly moved, the actor said: “This event is somewhat beautiful. It is a distinction that fills me with pride. It mobilized me a lot to get closer here. It stimulates me even more with this extraordinary audiovisual pole that you have the Cordoba. This growth that is to film in the province seems fantastic to me.”
