Queen Letizia and Princess Leonor are fashionable at eye level: at a gala they appeared in an almost identical look.
The fact that royal families occasionally coordinate their outfits during public appearances is nothing new. But what Queen Letizia (52) and her eldest daughter Princess Leonor (19) presented at the Princess of Girona Awards in Barcelona on Wednesday evening went one step further: an almost identical Tuxedo look that radiated fashion awareness and family cohesion at the same time.
Letizia and Leonor in partner look
At the ceremonial gala in the Gran Teatrre del Liceu, the mother-daughter duo not only shone fashionably, but also symbolically as a unit and again demonstrated his soft spot for Spanish fashion labels: Letizia rely on a black pants suit from “Mango” with satin reversal and palazzo pants, which she already had in 2024 during an appearance.
Leonor chose a tailor -made suit from “Blei Madrid” in deep navy blue made of shiny Jacquard. In addition, the Spanish heir to the throne Kitten Heels and diamonds combined earrings from her mother’s jewelry collection. While letizia are known for her preference for pants suits, Leonor’s outfit marks a stylistic fresh start: in recent years, the heir to the throne has mostly wore clothes in bright tones.
The whole family in a coordinated look
But the rest of the family was also fashionable for the event: King Felipe VI. (57) wore a dark blue suit with red tie, infantin Sofía (18) a dark blue off-shoulder jumpsuit and flat ballerinas.
The Princess of Girona Awards has been awarding young talents in the areas of science, entrepreneurship, social affairs, art and culture since 2010. As the heir to the throne and Princess of Asturia and Girona, Leonor also gave a speech on stage and handed over the awards.
