With a raw and realistic look on the female prison world, the series follows a group of women without a history that enter the penitentiary system and must adapt to such a hard as unpredictable logic.


Produced by Netflix and Underground, a division of Telemundo Studios, in the mud it develops within the same narrative universe as the marginal, but proposes its own history, focused on the ties, tensions and different forms of resistance that women deprived of liberty are going through.
What is it about in the mud
While they are taken to the prison of the ravine, Gladys Guerra “La Borges” and a group of convicted without prior history in the prison world, live a limit situation that will unite them forever. In the mud, it recounts the transformation of this group of detainees that must face life in prison, fighting the adversity of the prison regime, with the challenge of getting their own place, fighting for rights and benefits, and resisting the overwhelming of the different “tribes” that handle the daily jail. Without looking for it, they will become “the muddy.”

The main cast is composed of Ana Garibaldi, Valentina Zenere, Rita Cortese, Lorena Vega, Marcelo Subiotto, Carolina Ramírez and Ana Rujas.
