Princess Ingrid Alexandra has arrived in Sydney. The Norwegian palace now shared first photos of the throne.
Princess Ingrid Alexandra (21) begins her studies at the University of Sydney in early August. Now the Norwegian palace has published the first photos of the heir to the throne from Australia. This is shown by the 21-year-old with anticipation for the new phase of life.

The snapshots show you legally in light blue jeans and a dark blue sweater, your blonde hair is open to the daughter of Crown Prince Haakon (52) and crown princess Mette-Marit (51). The 21-year-old poses, among other things, on a well-kept lawn in front of the monkey building and sitting on a staircase in front of the entrance. In one picture, the princess poses radiantly in front of the famous Sydney Opera House.
If the royal family also published a message from Princess Ingrid Alexandra: “I look forward to starting my studies at the University of Sydney. It will be exciting to become a student and I look forward to gaining new perspectives on both European and international politics,” said the heir to the throne. “I am sure I will learn a lot.”
For three years in Australia
Princess Ingrid Alexandra graduated in Oslo in April 2023 and then went through a 15-month military training. In May 2025, the royal family announced that the 21-year-old chose a Bachelor’s degree in Australia, which focuses on international relations and political economy.
The studies should take three years and the princess will live together with other students in accommodation on the campus in the center of the Australian metropolis. The palace also announced that Ingrid Alexandra will mostly withdraw from her royal appearances and duties during her studies.
