“Kick it like Beckham” is to be continued
Director Gurinder Chadha is planning a continuation of the football cult film. Whether another film or a series is still open. In 2027 it mentions as a possible year of publication.
According to director Gurinder Chadha, the cult film “Kick It Like Beckham” is continued. However, it is still unclear whether it would be a movie or this time a TV series, said Chadha (65) of the BBC in Basel, where on Sunday the final of the women’s football European Football (England against Spain).
Chadha cited 2027 as a possible year of publication – that would be 25 years after the first part. “Kick It Like Beckham” (original title: “Bend It Like Beckham”) is about the footballing career of an 18-year-old against all resistance.
