Joss Stone is known for juggling a variety of styles in her songs. While there was still a strong reggae influence on “Water For Your Soul”, her recently released album “Never Forget My Love” is again a classically elegant soul album. “The best thing is to mean something honestly and put your heart into it. Then the genre doesn’t matter at all,” says the Kent-born singer. On July 1st, her fans will find out how the new songs of the Brit with the expressive voice sound live. Then the 34-year-old will be a guest in the opening act for Italo grandmaster Zucchero at the concert summer presented by OÖN on Clam.
Joss Stone made her international breakthrough at the tender age of 16, her debut LP “The Soul Sessions” became a sensation. She has since sold more than 14 million albums worldwide. In her closet are, among other things, a Grammy and several Brit Awards.
Stone proved last year that she knows how to convince with her voice, no matter how unusual the situation. Disguised as a “sausage” of all things, the vegetarian triumphed in the English edition of the TV show “The Masked Singer” – and that heavily pregnant with her first child. (ll)
