The 2000s have greetings: Tankinis will make their way back to swimwear this summer. So the trend is now worn.
The Y2K trend continues to have fashion enthusiasts under control. The 2000s experience their big comeback with baggy jeans, striking belts and bandanas. Now the time is being turned back in swimwear: tankinis are suddenly announced again. Instead of scarce bikini overheats, longer swimming tops prevail – hence the name “Tankini”, a combination of “tank top” and “bikini”. The bikini panties remains.
This is exactly what dear fashion fans of tankinis: they cover more than a bikini, but depending on your choice, you can still see more skin than a swimsuit. Whether covering the whole belly or cut a little shorter: the selection of crop tops and tank tops leaves the wearer the decision how much she wants to show.
This is how tankinis look modern
Your image as a old -fashioned swimwear is wiped away. Trend colors such as and pastel tones are currently making the look. Particularly announced: sporty variants with Neckholder carriers. Models with gaps or polka dots seem more playful. Tankinis in the A-line cut flatter the figure and can hide possible problem areas. Women with longer upper bodies too: a high-waist-bottom combined with a top that ends shortly above the belly button ensures balanced proportions.
Styling tips for tankinis
A no-go at Tankinis: An too tight top. The cleavage can emphasize it, but it shouldn’t be constricted by the body. A stylish way to avoid this are baby doll tops. There is a clear trend for the bikini panties: Subsides with a high leg neckline are the order of the day – because it makes the legs appear even longer. Short skirts offer a fashionable alternative that look particularly cool with slit or asymmetrical cut.
Otherwise the principle applies: Mix & Match. Colors and patterns may be combined this summer at will. With just a few tankini parts, many looks can be put together on the water for one day.
