Jamie Fraser Ade: New look for “Outlander” star Sam Heughan

The successful Highland saga “Outlander” comes to an end with season eight. The final episodes were turned off in September 2024. The fact that lead actor Sam Heughan (45), who stood in front of the camera as Jamie Fraser for years, is now ready for a new chapter, is also showing his changed look – without a kilt and curly mane.

The Scottish actor presented himself with a practical short haircut at the Comic-Con in San Diego. With the striking buzzcut and a much longer beard, Heughan reminds little of its serial figure.

At the comic-Con, Sam Heughan was accompanied by his co-stars Sophie Skelton (31, Brianna Mackenzie) and Richard Rankin (42, Roger Mackenzie) on stage. Main actress Caitríona Balfe (45), who plays in the Claire Fraser series, could not personally participate ,. In a video message she explained to her: “I am sorry that I am not with you. I really wish I could be there, but unfortunately I am in front of the camera for another project – and the shooting plan simply does not allow it. So I want to sincerely apologize.”

In addition, she added to the fans: “I know that I will see you in the coming months before the series is broadcast, and I look forward to meeting you all personally.”

As part of the Comic Concept appearance, a first teaser for the eighth and last season of the Starz series was also shown. The final episodes of “Outlander” should start in early 2026.
