Grief for Alon Aboutboul: “Batman” actor dies at the age of 60

The tragic incident occurred at Habonim Beach in Tel Aviv. Aboutboul had gone swimming on Tuesday morning when he suddenly came out of the water and announced passers -by that he felt uncomfortable. Shortly afterwards he collapsed in front of the eyes of horrified tourists.

Medical offenders immediately hurried to help and fought for the life of the actor for an hour. Despite all efforts, they could not revive Aboutboul. The exact cause of death has not yet been known. The 60-year-old leaves partner Shir Bilea and four children.

Israel’s President Jitzchak Herzog (64) described the deceased in a statement from which “Ynet” cited as “an important and influential artist of Israeli culture. For many years, Alon conquered the hearts of the audience in Israel and the whole world with his rare talent, which touched the heart, his sensitivity and unusual abilities”.

In “The Dark Knight Rises”, the final part of Christopher Nolan’s “Batman” trilogy, Aboutboul embodied the Russian nuclear physicist Dr. Pavel – his most famous international role. In 2008, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio (50) and Russell Crowe (61) in Ridley Scotts (87) “the man who never lived” the terrorist Al-Saleem. He was seen in smaller roles in 1988 alongside Sylvester Stallone (79) in “Rambo III” and in 2005 in Steven Spielbergs (78) “Munich”.
