Princess Beatrice: First public appearance with Athena

Princess Beatrice (36) showed herself for the first time at a public event with her daughter Athena. She visited the victory parade of the English women’s football team in London on Tuesday with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (41) and her daughters Sienna (3) and Athena. Mozzi’s son Christopher Woolf “Wolfie” (9), who comes from a previous relationship, also stood with his family.

Mozzi wore the six -month -old Athena in a stretcher in front of her chest. Photos show the baby dressed in delicate pink except for the light socks. In one picture you can see the princess how she turns to her younger daughter and gently touches her on her ear.

Mozzi shared her daughter in January, a week after the actual birth. “We all (including Wolfie and Sienna) are already completely fond of her,” he announced the happy news on Instagram. “Our hearts are full of love for you, little Athena,” he continued to write to a photo of his newborn daughter. In the article he also shared her full name: Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi.

Later Beatrice explained in an essay for her that her second daughter was born a few weeks early. The baby weighed only around two kilograms at birth – significantly less than the normal weight of about three and a half kilos.

Before the premature birth, they employed many questions. “Will there be a healthy thing? Will there be complications? How will you bring the rest of the family life under one roof while trying to keep a tiny person safe and healthy?” She described her thoughts and added: “This uncertainty leaves an overwhelming fear of the unknown.” The concerns turned out to be unfounded. Her baby was born healthy and he was doing well, she said.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have been officially a couple since 2018. In September 2019 they announced their engagement, the following July they celebrated their wedding in the All Saints Chapel in Windsor. On September 18, 2021, they welcomed daughter Sienna in the world. Mozzi also brought his son “Wolfie”, whom he has with architect Dara Huang. Daughter Athena was born on January 22, 2025.
