David Gilmour announced a new film that will show a live concert and be named after “Live at Circus Maximus, Rome”. The next film is the continuation of the tour dates “The Luck and Strange” last year of the legend of Pink Floyd.

These shows were made to celebrate their fifth solo album of the same title, which headed the lists in the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Portugal and Austria, and reached Top 10 in the United States.

Gilmour opened the tour with two preheating concerts at the Brighton Center, before heading to the historic maximum circus of Rome for six nights with exhausted entries. He then offered concerts at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and Madison Square Garden in New York.

With the ancient ruins of Rome as a backdrop, the images of the concerts were captured by Gavin Elder, a regular collaborator of Gilmour. It will be released through Sony Music Vision and Trafalgar Reliaing, and It will be screened in cinemas and IMAX from all over the world for a limited time as of September 17.

In addition to its premiere in cinemas, the functions of “Live at the Circus Maximus” will also be distributed in two Blu-ray and three DVDs, along with unpublished material and audio mixed in 5.1 and Atmos. This will be published on October 17.

“The Luck and Strange Concerts”, David Gilmour’s new album

Titled “The Luck and Strange Concerts”, the launch includes 23 themes in four LP or two CDs, recorded in selected concerts. The repertoire includes solo songs of the last album of the guitarist, as well as versions of Pink Floyd classics as “Sorrow”, “High Hopes”, “Breathe (In the Air)”, “Time”, “Wish You Were Here” and “Comfortable Numb”.

The Superdeluxe edition also includes a hard lid book of 120 pages with photographs of Polly Samson taken during the tour. The audio of “The Luck and Strange Concerts” and “Live at The Circus Maximus, Rome” was co -produced by David and Charlie Andrew, who also copied the original album.
