US President is considering pardon for Diddy

Trump is thinking about a complete pardon for Sean “Diddy” Combs. The rap mogul is to be convicted in October.

Almost two months after Donald Trump (79) publicly speculated about a possible pardon for Sean “Diddy” Combs (55), the discussion takes on concrete forms. Like a government representative, a complete presidential pardon for the founder of Bad Boy Records is now “seriously considered”.

Several confidants of the imprisoned rapper have turned to the White House, according to insiders. The topic rose from “just another Trump thoughts to a implementable event” after Combs was partly guilty in his New York sex trade process in early July.

Since his arrest in September, Combs has repeatedly been denied a $ 50 million deposit and the discharge from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. When it was pronounced on October 3, the rap mogul could be sentenced to two to three years in prison – minus the already served time.

At the request of “Deadline” Combs’ defense team did not want to comment on possible pardoning talks. While several people from Combs’ personal and professional environment actively asked for an intervention by the White House, the defense team itself had no significant participation in this process, writes the magazine. The White House said that “not an existence or non -existence of any requests for pardon” would comment.

Decades of acquaintance

Combs had escaped the heaviest of the criminal complaints raised against him after an eight-week sex trade process. Before the verdict, Trump had already stated on May 30 that he would certainly check the facts with regard to a diddy gift.

Once a Trump supporter, Combs became very critical of him during the first term of the Republican and supported Joe Biden in 2020. Trump and Combs have known each other for decades, in 2012 the current president called the musician a “good friend”.

Distraction of Epstein scandal?

The considerations in the Oval Office for Combs gift have increased in the past few days, as several sources report. “Deadline” speculates that Trump’s increased interest in the case could also be related to Trump’s own problems-after all, the US President is currently faced with an uprising of his Maga basis. The reason is the persistent reluctance to publish promised files about the now deceased sex offender and former Trump muffle Jeffrey Epstein (1953-2019).
