What makes a great father for him

Tom Brady, himself a triple dad, reveals what he understands by a great father in his newsletter.

In his weekly newsletter, Tom Brady (47) gives a rare insight into his thoughts as a father. The seven-time Super Bowl champion, which raises three children, explains what fatherhood means for him. “I think a part of being a great father is a good role model for what it takes to take care of his family”, “I decided to do it through football.”

What could sound like a justification for some is a philosophy for the athlete. Brady explains: “My devotion to the sport, the hours of training, the moments when I was razor -sharp – these were times when I think I did the best for my family and my children by priorizing my job.”

Role model in terms of work ethics

The quarterback, which initially announced his resignation in 2022, then celebrated a comeback and finally ended his career in February 2023, sees his work ethics as a lesson for his offspring. Through his example, he showed them “what it takes to be really good in his job, what it takes to comply with commitments to be a great team -mate.”

Brady’s understanding of parenting goes beyond classic father-child activities. “Remember, your children watch everything. They see what you do in every aspect of your life and how you do,” he warns. “Reading good night stories and helping them with homework are not the only ways to be a great parent.” He continued: “Being a great football player did not make me a great father, but how I became a great player had an impact.”

Three children, two ex-partners

Brady shares the parenting with two women: son John “Jack” Edward Thomas (17) comes from the relationship with actress Bridget Moyahhan (54), while with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen (45) he raises the children Vivian and Benjamin (15). Despite the complex family constellation, everyday life seems to work.

The proud father recently shared insights into his European summer on Instagram. Show him with his three children on yacht excursions, restaurant visits and sightseeing tours. Particularly striking: the amazing similarity between the 47-year-old and his eldest son Jack.

Moments beyond the ramp light

In June the family traveled through the Netherlands and Germany. they showed in the football stadium, in front of a graffiti wall or when visiting the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. “We collect memories that will survive forever while we experience these different cultures,” commented Brady on Instagram. At the beginning of July he posted a photo of his daughter Vivian in his story while relaxing in the water off Spain’s coast. “My little mermaid absorbs the sun and sea,” wrote the love in love.
