Elton John celebrates 35 years without alcohol
He has not drunk a glass since 1990, says Elton John. The pop legend congratulates his family with cards and flowers.
Pop legend Elton John let his family live up without alcohol for 35 years. The 78-year-old posted a photo with greeting cards and flowers on Instagram. “We are so proud of you,” said a map that his sons had signed Zachary and Elijah. “We are incredibly proud of you,” says another. Flower bouquets can be seen behind the cards.
The “Rocket Man” singer commented on the picture with the words: “grateful for all the love on my abstinence birthday.” In an interview with the “People” magazine, the singer said last year that he became sober in 1990. “And from that moment I started to understand what was missing in my life: humility, gratitude and faith,” said Elton John. The pop star has two sons with his husband David Furnish.
