Osbourne was also the godfather of Wildes’s oldest son. “Oz was simply the best,” said the 58-year-old looking back. “I have my father, who was a veteran of the Second World War; and then Ozzy, who was almost like a big brother. There were almost 20 years old age between us. Our relationship consisted of fun drinking – but if I needed advice, I could speak to him.”


At Black Sabbath’s last concert, Wylde Osbourne accompanied Osbourne on stage again. In retrospect, he described the appearance as “Business as Usual”, but emphasized that the priority that evening was “ensuring that it went well”. It was a special moment: “It was definitely amazing. Oz to see on stage when Sabbath was finished, it was the last time I saw him.”




Ozzy Osbourne died at the age of 76

A few weeks after his last concert, Ozzy Osbourne, the “Prince of Darkness”, died on July 22nd at the age of 76. A public mourning procession took place in his hometown Birmingham on Wednesday (July 30). The burial will take place on Thursday as part of a private ceremony in a church in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. The musician Yungblud (27) will keep a funeral speech there.
