Former tennis professional Boris Becker thinks that the Germans lack a little humor. The 57-year-old speaks from his own experience.
According to the former tennis professional Boris Becker, the Germans could be a little more humorous. “I am known for my humor. Not every German can say.
According to his own statement, humor for Becker is one of a person’s central character traits. Nevertheless, the triple Wimbledon winner has also had negative experiences with joking remarks in the course of his career, as he reported on the appointment.
“I was often not understood whether I said it ironically or seriously. In Germany you often have to announce: Attention! Now Irony is coming,” said Becker and explained that he had become more careful now.
Becker describes himself as a “good neighbor”
Together with his wife Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro, Becker is currently demonstrating his humor in his partner’s commercials – a mail order company. Former soccer player Stefan Effenberg is also there and has small neighborhood disputes with Becker in the clips.
In real life, however, Becker describes himself as a “good neighbor”. “I don’t mind if the neighbor gets a weekend louder. I’m also. I don’t bake cake because my culinary skills are limited, but I’m friendly and nice,” said Becker.
