Steffi Brung gives a child: she is “now sure” before the cancer

Steffi Brungs (36) gave a child. About two months ago, the moderator had made public that cervical cancer had been diagnosed at her at the age of 31. Now there is a positive development, as it announces.

The gynecologist said Brung’s last examination that she was “now safe now”. The doctor explained that one could “reduce the distance between the examinations”. “The affected tissue” was removed five years ago. In addition, Brung was vaccinated to reduce the risk of another infection. “In the meantime, I am now HPV negative again,” she reveals.

The 36-year-old is currently considered virus-free when it comes to high-risk types. “Of course, a residual risk remains,” says the moderator. The disease no longer concerns her every day, “but of course I’m still emotionally close when I talk about it,” says Brung.

At the beginning of June, Steffi Brungs had made it public that a few weeks after the wedding with husband Christian Wackert (36), cervical cancer had been diagnosed. “For a long time it was incredibly difficult for me to talk about it. Today I can. Because I am so incredibly grateful that I am healthy,” she said. The moderator received a lot of encouragement on the personal statement – but not exclusively, as she continues in the interview.

“I knew that there would also be shaming in response, of people who have no idea,” said Brungs. However, the vast majority reacted positively. Many affected women would have contacted her. “This is what I wanted to signal: It is important to talk about it and clarify it,” emphasizes the “Love is blind: Germany” presenter.
