Christina Applegate shares painful moment with daughter Sadie
In an interview with host Kelly Ripa (54), Christina Applegate spoke openly about a “violent argument” with her daughter Sadie (14). “She said, ‘I miss the person you were before you were sick,” recalled the “a terribly nice family” actress.
“It’s like a knife stab in the heart, because I also miss the person I was before I got sick every day of my life. It is such a loss,” added Applegate. Despite the hard words of her 14-year-old daughter, she emphasized: “She is the reason why I’m still here and continue.”
Christina Applegate’s daughter: “Hard to see her like this”
Together with fellow acting colleague Jamie-Lynn Sigler (44), who is also suffering from multiple sclerosis, Christina Applegate now hosts the podcast “Messy”. Her daughter Sadie also had their say. “I remember that when I was a child, we danced in her room for hours every evening,” said the 14-year-old. “It was difficult to see how my mother lost many of the skills she had in my childhood … it is just very difficult to see her through it.”
Despite everything, she also finds it “nice” to be able to support her mother in different ways. However, Applegate is not always willing to accept help – for example if it is dependent on a wheelchair.
Christina Applegate had made her MS diagnosis public in 2021. Her daughter Sadie comes from marriage to Martyn Lenoble (56) and was born in January 2011.
