Last Sunday the “ZDF television garden” fell into the water, this Sunday the live show with Andrea Kiewel is completely canceled. But that has nothing to do with each other.
The “ZDF television garden” fails on Sunday. But that has nothing to do with the events of last Sunday when the Live Show open-air area in Mainz-Lerchenberg was cleared after only 15 minutes because of a thunderstorm. Instead, ZDF will broadcast on August 3 from the morning: The finals can be seen by the multisport event in Dresden, in which numerous championship titles are awarded in many sports.
Last week, Andrea Kiewel (60) improvised with her prominent guests after the television garden site was cleared at the ZDF broadcast. She temporarily broadcast from a mini studio, later outdoors again, but without regular audiences.
13 of the 20 regular “television garden” editions have already run since the beginning of May. Seven come until the end of September. Another failure is planned on September 14th.
These “ZDF television garden” motto shows are still pending in 2025:
10.08. Schlagerparty17.08. Miami Vibes24.08. Discofox31.08. Time travel 07.09. Rock in the garden 21.09. Let the choirs sing 28.09. Oktoberfest
For Andrea Kiewel this year is 25th “television garden” anniversary. The popular open-air show has been around since 1986. In 2000, Kiewel took over the moderation. Previously, Ilona Christians and Ramona Leiß had presented the show.
Last Sunday, the storm thwarted the Mallorca edition of the show (motto: “Mallorca meets mini golf”), at which party striker stars appear. In 2019, the show had already been moved to the studio at this traditional edition with BallermannStars for storms.
