Gary Busey has admitted to having sexually harassed a woman at a fan event. “It was not a random touch,” he confessed.
Hollywood veteran Gary Busey (81) guilty before a court in New Jersey, who has sexually harassed a woman at a horror concention. At a court hearing on Thursday, the actor, once nominated for an Oscar, cleared: “It was not a random touch.”
Allegations of several women
The allegations against Busey arise from the so-called Monster-Mania Convention, which took place in a hotel in New Jersey from August 12th to 14th, 2022. Originally, five women accused him of having touched them immoral during the photo talent.
The authorities stated that Busey had touched two women on the buttocks and brought his face close to the breasts of a third woman while trying to open her bra. In return for Busey’s confession of guilt, the public prosecutor agreed to drop three other charges for sexual assault and an indictment for attempted sexual assault.
According to “Courttv”, the criminal prison is now scheduled for September 18. The actor threatens a suspended sentence of one to five years and a fine. During the negotiation on Thursday, in which Busey participated virtually, he wore a hearing aid that was “as loud as possible”. However, according to process observers, he obviously had difficulty following the events.
Busey is widely known as a character actor with more than 100 film and television appearances, mostly in supporting roles. His best -known films include “dangerous surf”, “alarm level: red”, “Lethal Weapon” and “Predator 2”. In 1978 he received an Oscar nomination as the best leading actor for his title role in “The Buddy Holly Story”.
