Sarah Michelle Gellar trains hard for her “Buffy” comeback. At her side: newcomer Ryan Kiera Armstrong.
The vampire hunter returns – and she is serious! Sarah Michelle Gellar (47) lets the muscles play and prepares for her “Buffy” comeback with full commitment. In an Instagram video, the actress shows herself at the intensive workout in the gym, accompanied by her “successor” Ryan Kiera Armstrong (15). On the side of Sarah Michelle Gellar, this will take over the main role in the reboot of “Buffy – under the spell of the demons” (1997 to 2003).
“Warrior 1 and 2. We don’t sweat … we glitter,” writes Gellar to the sweaty clip, which puts her fans in rapture. The insight into the training session shows the 47-year-old and her colleague in squats on a balance board or in exercises with a ball. Armstrong, who will act as a new main character in the “Buffy” reboot, keeps bravely with the experienced colleague.
Armstrong has become known as a distance in “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew”. She was also already seen in “Black Widow”, “American Horror Story” and “Firestarter”, an adaptation by Stephen King’s novel “Feuerkind”.
New generation anticipation
The enthusiastic comments for the workout duo gathered under the posting. “This is absolutely wonderful”, “A new hunter is born”, “Oh my god, our buffy literally trains the new hunter” and “I look forward to the next generation” can be read under the clip.
Nora Zuckerman and Lila Zuckerman are intended as authors, show runners and executing producers. Chloé Zhao takes over the direction. Production can also look forward to prominent support: In addition to Gellar as executing producer, Gail Berman as well as the original producers Fran Kuzui and KAZ Kuzui are also on board. A special surprise is Country legend Dolly Parton (79), who also acts as a producer. The new edition is to be shot in the coming months.
