Does Ellie Goldstein write “Strictly Come Dancing” story? As the first participant with Down syndrome, she wants to show what she is made of.
Ellie Goldstein (23) with Down syndrome on “Strictly Come Dancing”, the British version of “Let’s Dance”. The British from Essex has already celebrated international success as a model – now she wants to conquer the dance floor.
“BBC” has not yet officially confirmed her participation, a source was still said to be the “Sun”: “Ellie is enthusiastic about participating in ‘Strictly’. She has overcome so many barriers in her career, from modeling for Gucci to the first model with Down syndrome, which was on it.” She added: “Ellie can’t wait to start the show and show people what she can.”
The forecasts of the doctors were bleak when Ellie was born. They told the parents that the girl would “never run or speak”. But since her birth in December 2001 she has defied all expectations and was the first model with Down syndrome, which was seen in large international campaigns, written history.
From the catwalk to the dance studio
Ellie’s path to fame started as a teenager on the catwalks of the world. Victoria’s Secret, Adidas, Gucci – the largest brands in the fashion industry hired them. Then the breakthrough in 2023: As the first woman with Down syndrome, she adorned the cover of the British “Vogue”. that is sold worldwide today.

Reality TV star Dani Dyer is also traded as a possible participant. The new season is expected to start on BBC in September 2025.
