US actress Courteney Cox has been in show business for almost 30 years. With beauty interventions, she tried to stop time optically. In an interview, she now talks about the fact that at some point she was shocked by her own appearance.
17 years ago, the finale of the series “Friends” ran across the TV screens, when Courteney Cox was 40 years old. The hype surrounding the popular series is still great today and Cox has remained true to acting even after the worldwide success. With various interventions, however, the “Monica” actress tried to stop time optically. To the point that she realized herself that she had overdone it.
In an interview with the “Sunday Times Style Magazine”, the 57-year-old reflected on her obsession with looking younger: “There was a time in my life when I thought, ‘I’m changing, I look older’ and then I tried Maintaining my more youthful appearance over the years. At one point I was like, ‘Oh damn, I look really awful and weird.’ I’ve done things to my face that I never would have considered in the past.”
“Suddenly there was a day when I knew what my friends had said to me, then I saw it. Many people had also spoken disparagingly about my optics, I think. But I didn’t see it. Then at some point the phase came where I said to myself, ‘You need to stop this, it’s not looking good,'” Cox explained. Since then, the actress has decided to age more gracefully. She is the mother of a daughter and is approaching her 60s. However, Cox grew up in a family in which her own mother was very much fixated on external values. A trait that Cox had been aware of since childhood and as a result of which she herself had lost the relation to her own appearance over time.

Cox would like to hold back on injections in the future, but not on cosmetic products. In the interview, she joked: “I’m a product whore. I want to try everything.”
Courteney Cox no longer sees aging so negatively: “I’ll soon be 60 years old and that’s not a bad thing. I’m much more relaxed, I’ve learned a lot in my life. I know what I enjoy, but also what I do don’t want to do it anymore.”
