Family support
During the event at the John O’Groat’s showground, the king visibly enjoyed a sip of whiskey before scored the participants of the various competitions. The program included tug-of-tug, tree trunk throwing, highland dances or various races. Charles was relaxed and in a good mood when he took a seat in a marquee. His cousin Sarah Chatto (61) is said to have been there. More pictures show Charles Environment in conversation with spectators and at an encounter with a dog who apparently visited the Highland Games with his owner and greeted the monarch sniffing.
Charles is supposed to stay in Caithnes for a summer break in the Castle of Mey. His grandmother Queen Mum (1900-2002) bought the lonely property on the coast in 1952. She usually spent the months of August and October. Charles’ mother Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022), on the other hand, loved the Scottish Balmoral Castle for the summer months.
