After her jeans advertising has caused a stir, Sydney Sweeney is criticized for her political preferences. She apparently sympathizes with the Republicans.
For many critics on the Internet, a circle should close with this information: According to the public US, Sydney Sweeney is registered as a republican. The registration took place in June last year, i.e. before the election of Donald Trump as the US President. In the United States, voters have to register for election and indicate a party. However, this does not mean that you actually choose this party or are even a member.
Three years ago, SWEENEY asked not to connect her with political messages after pictures of her mother’s birthday party came to the public. The photos showed that numerous guests were wearing red caps with the inscription “Make Sixty Great Again”. “Please stop assumptions,” Sweeney then wrote to X.

In the meantime, the 27-year-old sees himself at the center of another controversy. SWEENEY is the new face of the clothing brand American Eagle, which is known for her comfortable jeans, among other things. The slogan with which the new campaign advertises is often criticized. “Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans” (“Sydney Sweeney has great jeans”), according to the current advertising clips. In a recording that posted the brand on Instagram, however, it also says: “Sydney Sweeney Has Great Genes” (“Sydney Sweeney has great genes”). To read on a poster, the “genes” was crossed out and replaced by “jeans”. A pun on Sydney Sweeney’s image of the attractive heartbrecher.
These super yachts are before Venice-for the celebrity wedding of the year
Bill Miller earns his money as an investor and fund manager. And he did not shine little in his career: Miller’s assets are estimated at around $ 500 million. Of course, you don’t get into the Ryanair machine to get to Venice, but clip on your own yacht. The 60 meter long super yacht Arience offers exactly the luxury that fits the wedding of Bezos and Sánchez. Passengers can look forward to a private whirlpool and a total of five decks. To get from one to another, the yacht has a elevator

In many people, however, the “Genes Jeans” analogy encounters criticism. You accuse the Propaganda campaign. The Nazis already campaigned for the preferred reproduction of white people to maintain their supposedly “good genes”. The Eugenik movement in the USA also had a similar background. Dark times when many people feel reminded of Sweeneey’s advertising. “Taking a blue -eyed, blonde, white woman and concentrating the campaign on the fact that she has perfect genes feels strange,” wrote a user on Instagram. “Give me such a feeling of 1930s Germany,” it said there too.

Actress was involved in the creative process
American Eagle has now also commented on the scandal. “We will continue to celebrate how everyone carries their AE jeans confidently and in their own way,” said the company in a statement. “Great jeans are good for everyone.”
So far, Sweeney has not commented on the campaign. Ashley Schapiro, Marketing Head of American Eagle, revealed in a contribution that was now deleted that the Hollywood actress was involved in the creative process from the start. When asked how far she would go, SWEENEY is said to have answered with: “Let it exhaust us, I’m there.”
