Kelly Osbourne publishes moving words after the death of her father Ozzy Osbourne. The singer died at the age of 76.
Kelly Osbourne (40) honors her late father Ozzy Osbourne with a moving message on social media. The Black Sabbath front man died in July at the age of 76.
Kelly, who had denied rumors about her father’s supposedly upcoming death just a few weeks before his death, turned “I sat down hundreds of times to write it, and still don’t know if the words will ever be enough … but from the bottom of my heart: Thank you,” she wrote. “The love, support and wonderful news that I received from so many of you really helped me to come through the hardest moment of my life. Every friendly word, every shared memory, every little compassion has more than I can ever explain.”
In her post, the 40 -year -old also described the intensity of her grief: “Grief is something strange – she attacks one in waves – I will not be okay for a while – but to know that my family is not alone in our pain, makes a difference. I stick to love, light and legacy that was left behind. Thank you for being there. I love you all so much.” She signed: “Kelly #birminghamforever #ozzyforever”.
Engagement before saying goodbye
Kelly was able to engage in front of her father a few weeks before Ozzy’s death. At his farewell concert, her long -time partner Sid Wilson had left her knee in front of her.
The Black Sabbath Reunion concert took place in Villa Park, just a stone’s throw from the town, where the band was founded in 1968. Ozzy told the thousands of heavy metal fans that “it was so good to stand on this stage” while performing his last set from a large black throne.
